Apple TV and iOS will soon support Xbox One and PS4 controllers

Apple TV and iOS will be bringing in support for PS4’s Dual Shock console controllers, as well as Xbox One S controllers. This will only include the original controllers for now, not any third party ones. So make sure to get your Xbox One and PSN cards now so you can play all your favorite games with these great controllers on Apple devices.

Will there be any exclusive games?

For now, no one is saying anything about ports or console games coming to Apple. But having the console support along with the Remote Play app, which was released in March, your iPhone and iPad is essentially a portable PS4. You’ll find that the app allows you to have all of the same PS4-related controls. Unfortunately, some games aren’t compatible with the app, so make sure to keep that in mine. However, this PS5 Thumbnailcontroller support could also increase the use of other gaming apps, such as the recently released Steam Link app for iOS. So as long as your PC and mobile device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network, you can stream your steam games to an iPhone or iPad. And we also have Steam cards available to make all of your Steam purchases as efficiently as possible.

You will have controller support very soon

The new updates are set to arrive with the iOS 13 version, and the new tvOS that will be released around the end of the summer. It’s also been rumored that Apple will also be releasing Apple Arcade, a curated subscription service that will work on iOS, iPadOS, and tvOS. Apparently, there will be around 100 new and exclusive games that will be available on the platform. So it does makes sense for Apple to add controller support, as they don’t currently have their own controller. And adding a third party controller on their OS would pretty much be a bust for most people. But with the support of Xbox One and PS4 controllers on Apple devices, the possibilities could really open up for gamers in many ways.

Spotify’s New Library Helps With Podcast Discovery

We all like our Spotify cards because we get to pay less for this service and you get an amazing range of value and quality. That being said, Spotify has recently turned its focus to podcasts. Spotify’s new library update is rolling out and now you’ll have the podcast section right next to your music. As a result, it will be much easier to find and listen to podcasts. Podcasts is a service that a lot of people have on Spotify, but don’t really use as much. So Spotify is trying to change that.

The new library design is currently in testing in the US

One thing to keep in mind is that this new design is still being tested, so while it’s rolling out, only select users have access to it. The feature allows you to check episodes, download podcasts, listen to them on the go, and browse shows.Spotify Podcast Discovery Thumbnail This new layout encourages customers to listen to podcasts, as well as their own music. But you won’t have to worry about podcasts taking over your experience, you can still stick to your music and not visit podcasts, if that’s not your thing. However, since a lot more people are listening to podcasts on Spotify, they wanted to make things easier for them.

Spotify is betting heavily on the podcast game

Apparently, Spotify is spending around $500 million this year solely on Podcasts. It acquired Gimlet Media which is widely known in the podcast industry and they are working with Luminary and Apple to become the main place for podcast listening. This should enhance podcast discoverability and make it easier to support your favorite podcast creators. Plus, the more people that can access podcasts, the better it is for everyone. Spotify wants to simplify the way people access podcasts on their platform. They want to make their process as simple and convenient as possible. Doing this can potentially bring some problems, but with the right approach it’ll make it much more efficient. Sure there are bound to be some challenges, but Spotify is definitely testing everything thoroughly to ensure that their new interface and feature will be pristine for its customers. And for all you Hulu lovers out there, Spotify Premium now includes Hulu at no extra cost!

Microsoft & Sony Teaming up for Gaming

Although Microsoft and Sony are known to compete with their consoles in the gaming world, the reality is that they both have similar interests. And we have an announcement that will make you want to buy some PSN cards and Xbox cards. Apparently, both companies are looking to collaborate in order to create some future cloud solutions. The announcement of Google Stadia seems to imply that Google wants to enter the video game world, and both Microsoft and Sony might be scared by the competition. Still, having a collaboration between these two companies that we always saw as rivals is quite unexpected. We do expect them to clash as they work with one another, but for now it seems that they both have a great goal in sight.

Why is Sony working with Microsoft? Don’t they have their own cloud gaming platform?

Sony has had its PlayStation for a long time, but the platform isn’t too powerful. They don’t have a cloud Xbox & PlayStation Thumbnailinfrastructure like Amazon, Microsoft, and Google have. So they had to rely on working with Microsoft to get this project started. It’s definitely not the simplest thing out there, but it does push the boundaries a bit and that’s the thing that really matters, especially in a situation like this. Through this deal, Sony gets to work with Microsoft to boost its cloud system and even leverage the Azure technology. None of the companies have native streaming services right now, and that’s a shame because there are many challenges that come from that. But the game libraries are there, everything is in place aside from good technology that will help with cloud gaming. And while that might not seem easy to do at first, the payoff can be huge as long as they end up doing it right.

Will this be a part of the next generation of consoles?

The next generation of consoles is coming. Based on what they showed, the PS5 is going to load levels a lot faster, so the processing power will be much improved (you can read more about Sony’s PlayStation 5 Specs). And we can expect the new Xbox to be just as good as well. Both new consoles are set to arrive in 2020 according to the latest estimates. It definitely makes a lot of sense for Microsoft and Sony to work together. Microsoft does have Azure and this is a great platform for cloud services that can be adapted to gaming. Will it work well for gaming? That depends, but what we do know is that customers will be able to use it rather soon. We do expect Sony to customize its own service despite using the Azure platform from Microsoft. But it’s nice to see both companies realize that it’s beneficial for them to work together in order to reach greater heights of success.
