I am 36 years old and live on an island called Barbados.

No, I don’t currently have any iTunes subscriptions.

Why do you choose the US iTunes Store instead of the local option available to you? 

Its better priced compared to local prices.

How did you find out about the US iTunes Store? Do your friends and family shop there as well? 

I have alway had a US iTunes account, and yes, my sister lives in the US.

Amazon Prime Day July 15th – How to Spot the Best Deals

Amazon Prime Day is that time of the year where there’s a good chance you’re going to spend a lot of money on some amazing purchases. This year Amazon Prime Day is on July 15th and the great thing about it this year, is that it’s taking place for a full 48 hours. It starts on Monday July 15th and continues until the end of Tuesday, July 16th. As always, people from other countries (where you can make purchases on Amazon) have their own Amazon Prime Day to look forward too, so this will only be in the US.

Why buy during Amazon Prime Day?

The reason is simple, you can use Amazon cards and stock up now and then buy stuff at a much lower price. Shop Amazon Gift CardsOf course there are sales from time to time. But Amazon Prime Day, Christmas deals, and Black Friday are known for their great discounts.

Getting the best deals

A good site you might want to use is https://camelcamelcamel.com and other sites like it to give you price alerts. You can load up your Amazon account and wishlist, then they will notify you when the price of the products are reduced. The great thing is that they also have a browser extension, have historical pricing data, and so on. This is possibly one of the better tools you can use for Prime Day.

Check other sites too

Some other websites try to combat prime day as well. You’ll notice Target, Walmart, and Best Buy will bring in some deals around this time. If you’re only looking for Amazon deals, we really recommend that you check out tools like Camelcamelcamel as they are quite accurate and reliable. Create the wishlist you want and prepare beforehand. Then use this extension to see where and how you can spot some of the best prices. It really helps a lot to use this kind of stuff, but it will be a bit time-consuming to identify the right option, so use it as an advantage and it will be worth the effort.

Spotify Begins Testing its Car Smart Assistant

Spotify is a great music platform, but now they seem to be hard at work on creating some hardware as well. The hardware they’re designing is a car smart assistant. It’s designed with the idea of helping Spotify learn how people are consuming audio while they’re driving.

Car Thing is set to revolutionize the way you listen to music

The name for Spotify’s car assistant is Car Thing. It will plug into the 12-bolt outlets in cars, and then will connect to your phone via Bluetooth. You can activate it by saying “hello Spotify,” and then request the songs you want to hear. You’ll obviously need to link it to your account in order for it to work. But it does seems like it’ll work with those free accounts, which is good to know. And you can always get your Spotify cards to help you out with your purchases. Spotify Thumbnail Image That being said, the design of this product is not exactly the simplest one out there. It has a circular screen on one side where you see what’s played. On the other side, there are buttons that help you access various presets. It might be intuitive to some, but it could take some time for others to get used to all the features. It’s important to note that this is in the testing phase. At least for now, the testing ground for Spotify’s technology will be in the US. It might become worldwide, but that depends on how well it fares with people in the US. That being said, they ultimately want to remain the top audio listening platform in the world.

Will they focus on hardware from now on?

That doesn’t mean Spotify will focus on hardware from now on. They know that a lot of people listen to music in their car, so they wanted to make it easier for those people to enjoy their music in that environment. In fact, they have also began testing a new library that helps with podcast discovery, in case podcasts are your thing. Is it possible for Spotify to bring their car assistant worldwide? While you can get your Spotify cards to enjoy music now, it seems that this piece of hardware will be restricted in certain areas, at least for the time being. Not only do they want to iron out potential problems, but they will also have to deal with some regional restrictions. Hopefully all these things will be ironed out so we can enjoy this great piece of hardware in our vehicles in the near future!

Xbox Launches Game Pass Ultimate for $15 per month

Getting Xbox cards is always a good idea if you want to buy the latest Xbox games. But now Xbox is stepping up their game. They are launching the Xbox Game Pass for PC at $9.99 per month and this is included in a new package named the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate which covers both PC and Xbox for $14.99 per month.

Why is Microsoft bringing this Game Pass?

The reason is simple, Game Pass was a success on Xbox and they have most of their game versions on Windows too. So it makes a lot of sense to bring this to both PC and Xbox. And the new $15 package will cover the Xbox Pass for PC, as well as Xbox Live Gold. The only issue is that you will essentially have to stick to a particular environment, and that means commitment.

Just like many subscription programs out there, the Xbox game pass will be very easy to cancel at any time. You will also be able to resubscribe without any issues. So you can definitely try it out without any fear that you’ll be stuck in a long term commitment.

Is the price good?

Basically, the Game Pass for PC will be $9.99 when it’s out of beta. Xbox Live is already that price per month, same with the Game Pass for Windows. So this deal gives you the great Ultimate price at $15 instead of $29.97. Honestly that’s a bargain, considering that you get to use the console and enjoy games on PC as well. It’s a discount even if you don’t want to use the PC game pass. But honestly this is a great investment with the PC version as well, because there are tons of games here which are coming to PC for the first time. That being said, you also have some great deals right now. For the beta version of the PC pass, you can pay $1 for the first month, same with the others. It’s extremely affordable considering the price. We definitely recommend you try out the Xbox Game Pass, especially at this price!
