Amazon Customer of the Week – Samuel

For the third week in August, we are featuring Samuel from Venezuela! We sent him some questions to learn a bit about what he loves most about Amazon, and how he’s using our Amazon cards.

How old are you, and where are you located?

I’m 27 and I’m located in Caracas, Venezuela.

Tell us something special or unique about where you live, or why you like it?

We have a tropical climate which is neither hot or cold. It is really perfect in that regard. Venezuela is also a super cheap country to live in.

What is your favorite item that you have purchased on Amazon, and why?

A Toshiba external hard drive so that I could backup some important files of mine. I also took advantage of a sale and bought some Kindle books.

Are you an Amazon Prime Member? If so, what services do you use the most? Music? Video? Faster Shipping? Amazon Thumbnail Image

No, I’m currently not a member. (Also, Amazon Prime Students now get Amazon Music Unlimited for only $0.99!)

Why do you choose Amazon instead of local options or other websites?

Usually, because I compare prices with Amazon’s competitors and it’s typically cheaper to buy with them.

Are you using any additional services to ship your Amazon products to your country?

Miami locker and a service similar to DHL.

Do you have any tips or tricks to get the most value out of Amazon?

Look around for similar items on their website. Sometimes there are brands that have better gamma to offer, but are not as recognized. Those are generally cheaper and of better quality.

How did you find MyGiftCardSupply, and what is your favorite things about this service?

A YouTuber was promoting MyGiftCardSupply and I happened to watch it. What I love about the company is their discount codes and the mega variety they have for cards to purchase.

What kinds of things do you like to do for fun?

Multiplayer games, reading, contact with nature, and eating.

Thank you Samuel for participating in MyGiftCardSupply’s Amazon Customer of the Week!

All of Samuel’s friends and family can use the coupon “SAMUEL5OFF” to get 5% OFF on their next purchase on our site!

Amazon Prime Students can now get Amazon Music Unlimited for only $0.99

We’re all focused on getting Amazon cards as we try to find the best possible deals out there and enjoy some of what Amazon has to offer. The challenge is that for some people, Amazon services can be pretty expensive. Currently, Amazon is trying to do something about that by offering a less expensive music membership.

You need to be a student to take advantage of this

The new price of $0.99 for Amazon Music Unlimited is available only if you are on a Student Prime plan. Otherwise, you’ll have to pay the Amazon Thumbnail Imageregular price. That being said, existing customers can add on unlimited music. And new college students can actually get a trial for 6 months. Normally, it costs $7.99 for regular customers. But they’re wanting to battle Spotify, so they need any upper hand that they can get right now. And in this case, the Amazon Music Unlimited price makes a lot of sense. We aren’t sure whether they’ll give a discount for all customers in the near future, so we’ll have to wait and see.

After 6 months, the price increases

Yes, after the 6-month trial at that price, you’ll have to start paying the regular $6.49 Student price for Amazon’s Unlimited Music. You will have the $1 Amazon Music Unlimited add-on, if you want. It’s more expensive when compared to Apple Music, but you also get video and audio streaming services with this. Not to mention prime deliveries. It’s a pretty great deal, and it’s clear that Amazon is trying it’s hardest to offer the best value to their customers. Is this going to be enough for students to gravitate to Amazon Music Unlimited? The service is great, not as comprehensive as Spotify, but it does have a huge selection of content. Only time will tell whether more people will shift to Amazon Music Unlimited. But this is a good service, and making it so inexpensive for students will most likely have its benefits. Whether it will stick or not is hard to tell, but even then having such an option is always nice to have.

Nintendo Switch can now run Android

Nintendo Switch is a great console that has some fun games. Those are reasons why people buy Nintendo e-shop cards all the time. This is a great console to enjoy a whole lot of games, and you will love how entertaining it can be. And now, it also runs on Android!

A creative way to run a new operating system

When you prepare to buy Steam cards, you rarely think twice as there are a lot of games on the platform. But with Nintendo’s shop things are a bit different. They are offering you Android as well. The idea behind this is to bring you an unofficial port of the LineageOS15.1 This is designed to help you use Twitch, Spotify, YouTube and so on. A lot of people have already tried it, and it really works in a masterful way. It’s quite exhilarating and a pleasure to enjoy, but at the same time it’s simple and convenient, exactly what you really want to have from a game like this all the time.Nintendo Thumbnail Image

It’s based on NVIDIA code

Nvidia actually wanted to ape Nintendo and create their own console. But now they’re actually offering a Nvidia Shield OS build to stack up and make things better for you. It’s actually quite liberating and exciting to have this type of stuff working on a console. The attention to detail and the experience itself is staggering, and they aren’t rushing or pushing it too much. Instead, it works great and it delivers some adaptable and cool features that a lot of people will enjoy having and using for a while. What you have to keep in mind is that this is not going perfectly. The controllers work pretty well, but there are still some compatibility issues. There are still ports, so it will take a while to refine it. Yet the sheer fact that it exists is an amazing thing. And there are limitations too. You don’t have video DRM, there’s no USB storage support, the Wi-Fi can stop working randomly, and not all Bluetooth headsets are supported. If you get past the minor challenges, you will still love this because it’s something different and fun. You rarely get such tech advances, so when they appear it’s a good idea to celebrate and enjoy them!

Netflix will Launch a Mobile – Only Streaming Plan

We’re all preparing to buy our Netflix cards so we can enjoy what Netflix has to offer. But recently it seems that Netflix has been losing customers, mostly due to its price increase. So they’re experimenting with some new ideas to see how they can retain and gain new customers. Which is why it might be a good idea to try out this new mobile only streaming plan that they’ve developed.

What is this plan about?

You can still use your Netflix cards with this plan, but you’ll only be able to use it via a mobile connection or on a mobile phone. It will be cheaper, although there’s no real price description at this time. It’s basically the same Netflix that you know now, but limited to mobile Netflix Thumbnail Imageconnectivity. And even if this might turn some people off, it’s still a really good way for people to use Netflix, especially in remote locations. Up until this point, it was pretty much mandatory to have a TV in order to enjoy the upper pricing points of Netflix. What really makes this plan good is the fact that you can have access to a lower tier without having to pay a lot of money. However, a major limit to keep in mind is that you’ll be limited to 480p. Since this is a phone based system, you won’t really see the difference, and it will definitely save bandwidth. A lot of people would prefer 720p, but at the end of the day Netflix chose this to make it easier on your data plan. And in case you’re looking for some other new apps for your phone that won’t take up too much space, check out Spotify’s new Spotify Lite app.

Is this active right now?

It’s important to note that this version of Netflix will be limited to India, at least for the time being. The idea is that they need to find a way to make this work and bring in more subscribers. This plan makes a lot of sense for lots of customers. At the same time it also poses some challenges. There will obviously be people that just use Netflix on their phone anyways and want this cheaper version. If this plan turns out to be a success for Netflix, there’s probably a good chance they’ll expand this plan to other countries in the future.

Spotify Lite App for Android

When you hear about streaming music you always want to prepare your Spotify cards so you can pay for this amazing service. And the great thing now is that Spotify developers thought about people without a lot of space on their device. Spotify is launching Spotify Lite, a tool designed to occupy only 10 MB of space on your mobile device. This comes at the same time as testing is being done for Spotify’s new car assistant.

Why is this important?

While you can still use Spotify cards with this, the thing that has changed is the fact that you can set a data limit and also receive a notification Spotify Thumbnail Imagewhen that limit is reached. Whether we like it or not, it’s important to remember that not everyone has the best Internet. And that means a lot of people are limited in this regard. What you can do at this time is to find a tool to consume less data, and Spotify Lite helps with that. Not only is this a smaller download (10% of the regular size), you also have bandwidth-saving features that can really make a difference as well. Another thing to note is that you can control the song cache and clear it with just a quick tap, in case you have storage issues.

Where can you get Spotify Lite?

At this time you’ll only be able to download the Spotify Lite app in Latin America, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. 36 countries in total have availability to the app, but more will have it in the near future. In order to use the Lite version you need Android 4.3 or higher. According to Spotify, this tool is designed to complement the regular app. So you can check out the Lite and Regular version, then choose which one works best for your needs. Instagram, Facebook and Uber all have Lite versions, so it made sense to have a Lite option for Spotify. And it seems to work great, hopefully it will arrive on more markets real soon!

iTunes Customer of the Week – Elizabeth

For the third week in July, we are featuring Elizabeth from Costa Rica! We sent her some questions to learn a bit about what she loves most about iTunes, and how she’s using our iTunes cards.

How old are you, and where are you located?

I’m 25 and live in Tamarindo, Costa Rica.

Tell us something special or unique about where you live, or why you like it?

It’s a place where people from all around the world come to visit, and many end up staying to make a new life. I love the fabulous mixture of cultures that exists in this tiny town.

What is your favorite product you have purchased on iTunes, and why?

I really love my guitar tuner app (Cleartune) and OnSong, which is where I organize and store all of my chords and lyrics sheets. Both are so useful when I play gigs and weddings. OnSong makes it easy to share if I’m playing with a band instead of solo, and it’s the easiest app I have ever found for changing keys and making set lists.

Do you have any subscriptions on iTunes? If so, which services, and how do you like to use them?

I don’t have any subscriptions on iTunes currently.

Why do you choose the US iTunes Store instead of the local option available to you?

The US iTunes store has many more options available, especially for nerds like me who search through the App Store to find anatomy and language apps, brain challenges, and music apps.

How did you find out about the US iTunes Store? Do your friends and family shop there as well?

I went to a US high school in Costa Rica and my friends were the first to show me apps, so I went to the US iTunes store to have the same apps they were showing me. I have just stuck with it (I did check out the Costa Rica iTunes store, but it had far fewer options). (We even have a page where you can check out How to Buy US iTunes Gift Cards in Costa Rica).

How did you find MyGiftCardSupply, and what is your favorite thing about this service?

I found the MyGiftCardSupply when trying to purchase an iTunes gift card, as I did not have a debit/credit card at the time, only PayPal. I love the fact that you can order the gift card, and it usually arrives within minutes. It’s quick and easy, and I love it!

What kinds of things do you like to do for fun?

I love to play music, write, draw, and cook.

Thank you Elizabeth for participating in MyGiftCardSupply’s iTunes Customer of the Week!

All of Elizabeth’s friends and family can use the coupon “ELIZABETH5OFF” to get 5% OFF on their next purchase on our site!

Convert your Xbox Live subscription into Game Pass Ultimate

Xbox launched the Game Pass on PC, but at the same time it also created the Game Pass Ultimate. The Game Pass Ultimate has the Game Pass Xbox (the one for PC) and also Xbox Live all wrapped into one package. You can purchase it for $14.99 a month. If you were to buy them all separately, it would cost you double that much. If you’re already using Xbox cards and you’re the kind of person that likes to read a lot, then the Xbox Live experience is definitely one you’ll want to check out.

Can you save even more?

Right now the Game Pass for PC is in Beta, and the cool thing is that you can get the One Month Trial of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for $1. Another option is to purchase 36 months of Xbox Live Gold service in advance. At this time, you can activate the $1 trial which means you can convert the future months of service to the Game Pass Ultimate. The idea here is that you’ll need to stack these up and instead of just doing 3 years of Xbox Live Gold for $181, you’ll convert this to Game Pass Ultimate which would normally cost you around $540.Xbox Thumbnail Image

How can you do this?

Ideally, you’ll want to buy the Xbox Live Gold Subscription. It’s a good idea to opt for the 12 month increments, especially if you can find them on sale. You’ll want to add this to your account. Once you get that, you’ll be able to take advantage of the $1 Game Pass Trial. And it will automatically convert the Xbox Live time that you have into Game Pass Ultimate. It’s a really good way to save some money. The best part is that you can actually play games on your PC, or share your Windows Xbox account with a friend. One thing to keep in mind is that the offer is only for a limited time, so don’t waste any time!
