Redeem guide
How to Redeem a Twitch Gift Card
On the web or in the Twitch app — and how to fix a code that won't redeem
Twitch accepts the same code on the web and in its mobile app, and the balance lands in your Twitch Wallet either way. Pick the surface you already have open and follow the steps below.
Code format
Redeem a Twitch Gift Card in Under a Minute
To redeem a Twitch gift card, go to twitch.tv/redeem, sign in to your Twitch account, and enter the code exactly as it appears. The balance lands in your Twitch Wallet under Gift Card Balance within seconds, ready to spend on channel subscriptions, Bits, gifted subs, and Twitch Turbo.
Two Ways to Redeem Your Twitch Gift Card
Twitch accepts the same gift card code in two places: the web redemption page and the Twitch mobile app. Either way the value drops into your Twitch Wallet under Gift Card Balance, so use whichever surface you already have open.
On the Web (twitch.tv/redeem)
The web flow works in any desktop or mobile browser and is the shortest path to your Wallet.
- Go to twitch.tv/redeem and sign in to your Twitch account.
- Enter your gift card code in the redemption field exactly as it appears.
- Select Redeem to add the value to your Gift Card Balance.
Twitch may prompt you to turn on two-factor authentication before it accepts the code — enable 2FA in your account security settings if you are asked, then redeem again.
In the Twitch Mobile App (iOS and Android)
Redeem from your phone when there is no browser handy; the app uses the same account and the same Wallet as the web.
- Open the Twitch app and sign in to your account.
- Tap your profile icon, then open Settings.
- Select Wallet, then tap Redeem a gift card.
- Enter your code and confirm to apply the balance.
A code redeemed in the app shows up in the same Gift Card Balance you see on the web, so the value is available everywhere you use Twitch.
What Your Twitch Gift Card Balance Pays For
Once the value is in your Twitch Wallet, it spends like prepaid Twitch credit and is applied automatically at checkout. Use it to subscribe to your favorite channels, buy Bits to cheer in chat, gift subscriptions to other viewers, or pay for Twitch Turbo. There is no need to re-enter the code each time — the balance simply draws down as you spend.
A Twitch gift card balance only works on Twitch. You cannot withdraw it as cash, move it to another account, or spend it on Amazon or other services, and it stays tied to the single account it was redeemed on.
- Use it for: channel subscriptions, Bits, gifted subs, and Twitch Turbo.
- Won’t work for: cash withdrawals, transfers to another account, or purchases outside Twitch.
Why Your Twitch Gift Card Code Isn’t Working
Most Twitch redemption failures come down to one of four things. Match the message you saw to the item below before contacting support — the fix is usually a quick check on the account or the code.
Your gift card region doesn’t match your account
Twitch gift cards are issued in a specific currency and tied to a region. Cards in U.S. dollars can be redeemed by U.S. residents only, and cards in euros can be redeemed by residents of 25 eligible European countries. If the card’s region does not match the country your Twitch account is registered in, redemption is declined — redeem from your account’s home region, or use a card issued for that region.
Twitch is asking you to enable two-factor authentication
For account security, Twitch may require two-factor authentication before it lets you redeem. If you are blocked at the redemption step, open your Twitch security settings, turn on 2FA with a phone number or authenticator app, then return to the redeem page and enter the code again.
“This code is invalid” or the field rejects your code
This is almost always a typo. Enter the code exactly as it appears, with no extra spaces, and watch for characters that look alike — a capital “O” versus a zero, or a “1” versus a lowercase “l”. Copy-pasting the code straight from your delivery email avoids most mistakes.
“This code has already been redeemed”
The code has already been applied to a Twitch Wallet and cannot be used a second time. If you bought the card from MyGiftCardSupply and have not redeemed it yourself, contact MyGiftCardSupply support with your order number — codes are verified before delivery and replacements are handled on the seller side.
Where to Buy a Twitch Gift Card Online
Most people come back for another Twitch gift card for one of two reasons: they have spent the balance from the first one, or they want to fund a Twitch account without putting a card on file. A gift card is the cleanest way to top up a Wallet for subscriptions, Bits, and gifted subs.
Buy a Twitch gift card online from MyGiftCardSupply — the code is delivered by email, so you can redeem it at twitch.tv/redeem the same day you order. Choose the region that matches the country your Twitch account is registered in so the balance applies without a hitch.
