How to Redeem a SiriusXM Gift Card
Apply it to a new or existing subscription — and what to do when a code won't go through

- Go to siriusxm.com and select the satellite or streaming subscription you want.
- Create your account or sign in when prompted, then continue to checkout.
- At the payment step, select Redeem Prepaid or Gift Card.
- Enter the Card Number or PIN from your gift card, then apply it to update the order total.
- Add a payment method on file and confirm — the card’s full value credits your account and covers subscription fees and tax first.
Keep a separate payment method on file: the gift balance pays for service while it lasts, and your backup card only takes over once that balance is used up.
As a Current Subscriber (Manage My Account)
Use this path if you already have an active or lapsed SiriusXM account and want to add the card’s value to it.
- Sign in at siriusxm.com/myaccount to open the Account Center.
- Open Manage My Account and go to the Billing section.
- Click Have a Prepaid or Gift Card.
- Enter your Card Number or PIN and submit to apply the value.
- Confirm the new total — the entire card balance credits your account toward future subscription charges.
If you also kept the older redemption screen open, the same value can be applied by checking I have a SiriusXM Prepaid Subscription Card that I’d like to use and clicking Update Total.
By Phone (if you’d rather not redeem online)
SiriusXM accepts gift and prepaid cards over the phone, which is handy if your card carries a CVV2 and Valid Thru date or you are activating a new radio at the same time.
- Call SiriusXM at 1-866-635-2349.
- Have your Card Number or PIN ready — and the CVV2 and Valid Thru date if your card shows them.
- Give the agent your Radio ID or account phone number so they can locate or create your account.
- Confirm the value has been applied to your subscription before you hang up.
If a phone redemption does not complete cleanly, apply the same card online through Manage My Account instead — it is the more reliable path.
What a SiriusXM Gift Card Pays For
A SiriusXM gift card is subscription credit, not a hardware or store balance. The value applies to SiriusXM service — satellite radio in the car, streaming through the SiriusXM app and web player, or a plan that includes both — along with the activation fee and applicable taxes. It works for a brand-new subscription or to extend an existing one.
The balance does not buy a radio, an adapter, or any physical equipment, and it cannot be cashed out or moved off the account once applied. “This card has already been redeemed”
The Card Number or PIN has already been applied to a SiriusXM account and cannot be used again. You’re on the wrong redemption path
New and existing subscribers use different screens. If you already have an account, the Redeem Prepaid or Gift Card button at new-subscriber checkout may not find it — sign in and use Manage My Account → Billing → Have a Prepaid or Gift Card instead. If you are brand new, apply the card during checkout, not in an account you have not created yet.
Account country doesn’t match the card
SiriusXM runs separate services for the United States (siriusxm.com) and Canada (siriusxm.ca), and a card is tied to one of them. Redeem a US card through the US account at siriusxm.com and a Canadian card through the Canadian account — applying a card on the wrong country’s site is a common cause of a card that “won’t apply.”
“Invalid card number” or the value won’t apply
This is usually a typo in the Card Number or PIN — a missed character, an “O” entered for a “0”, or trailing spaces from a paste. Re-enter the code carefully, copying it directly from your delivery email. If a phone redemption stalled, switch to the online flow in Manage My Account, which completes the credit more reliably.
