Playstation Gamer of the Week: Brittany Staley

For the first week of July, we are featuring Brittany Staley from South Carolina! We sent over some questions to and wanted to know a bit about what he loves most about PlayStation gaming,

How old are you, and where are you located?

Well, my name is Brittani & I am 29 years old. I am located in South Carolina

What is your PlayStation Gamer tag?

My Gamertag is TopNotchNERD

What was your first video game? Tell us your favorite story about it.

My first video game was Super Mario 3. It initially came out when I was only a couple of days old but the game was so great that when I turned 2 it was still popular (in our household at least) and my 2 older brothers were always hooked on it. I remember my mom snapping “photos” of us all playing.

What games are you currently playing?

Man, where do I start? Destiny 2, Monster Hunter World, Far Cry 5 and Overwatch are the top games I am on.

How much time do you currently spend gaming?

ABOUT 60 hours a week. lol

How long have you been gaming?

I’ve been gaming since I was 2ish. I really got into it when Metal Gear Solid (1998 I think) came out. And I have been hooked ever since. Call it crazy but I even met my husband on PS4 playing GTAV.

Have you entered any gaming competitions?

I have not. Thought about it…

What in your opinion makes for a good video game?

I would say of course something with a good storyline that’s number one for me. If it doesn’t hook me on the first mission/cutscene I probably won’t play it much longer. I love endgame rewards and I love anything that has to do with multiplayer.

What are your thoughts on console Gaming vs. PC gaming vs. Mobile gaming? Do you have a favorite?

Well, I can honestly say I’ve only played about 2 games on PC and mobile games… I mean who doesn’t have at least one mobile game on their phone lol. I can say that a lot of PC only games have caught my eye and I have been tempted but I love my console games overall. (Especially with all the announcements at E3)

What feature would you like to see added to the PlayStation or PlayStation Network?

THE ABILITY TO MULTI DELETE PEOPLE FROM FRIENDS LIST Increase the max number of people in a party… maybe to 10? lol

Why do you used MyGiftCardSupply to purchase your PSN gift cards?

I use it mainly because I agree so much with the purpose and how convenient everything is. Not to mention the rewards program. I remember when I made my first purchase I was away for work in Chicago and my 12-year-old daughter ( who also games on her ps4 ) did well in school so I wanted to gift her a psn card. I was able to purchase her card and send it immediately to her via text.

What other things interest you, besides gaming?

I love being involved in Veteran related activities. My husband was in the marines for 9 years and we try to stay active in military-related activities when we choose a day to not the game. Can I Buy Games from the US PSN Store Using a US PSN Gift Card?

With the improvement of the speed and quality of internet connections as well as the push from console manufacturers and software developers, gamers now have the option of buying games online and downloading these on their chosen gaming platforms, including PlayStation 4. Buying digital games instead of disc-based games offers a few unique advantages. For one, you will be able to play the game you have been waiting for as soon as it is released. You can pre-pay for that game, download it, and once the game is officially released, the game is unlocked and you can immediately play it. Digital games also eliminate one of the woes associated with disc-based games: clutter. As you accumulate more games on your console’s hard disk, you do not have to worry about running out of room in your house. Plus, you can easily find the game that you want to play.

Digital delivery allows for a more eco-friendly solution

These games have a considerably reduced carbon footprint and require fewer resources to produce and distribute. Digital delivery is good for the environment. And if you own a PlayStation, one of the best places to buy digital games is the US PSN store using a PSN gift card code. Sony has opened different stores for each country/region. But when it comes to the sheer number of available content, prices, and special offers, the US PSN is practically peerless. If you live outside of the United States, the question on your mind right now is likely to be…

Can I buy games from US PSN Store?

Yes, you can. However, it is not as straightforward as buying from your own country’s PSN store. In order to buy content from the American PSN store, there are a few steps that you need to undertake. First, you will need to set up a US PSN account. To do that, you can either log on to the PSN website or do that on your console. You will need a US address. For that, you can either ask for the address of relatives or friends living in America. Alternatively, you can simply go online and find a US address. Another thing that you need in order to buy content from the US PSN store is an American credit or debit card or a PayPal account that matches the address on your PSN account. If you do not live in the US, there is a workaround for this. You can simply buy digital PSN credit from a third party source, through a US PSN gift card. Credits are available in various denominations. After confirmation of your purchase, the codes will be sent to you and you can input these to your account. Then, your account will have credits that you can use to buy games. But what if you want to play the games on your original account so that you can get the trophies and other achievements? By default, the game will be restricted to the US PSN account you have just created. In order to play the game using your original PSN account, all you have to do is to define your PS4 as the primary console in your US PSN account.

Why We Love PSN Cards

PSN cards can be considered to be among the pioneer purchasing options in the digital marketplace. You could use them at the PlayStation Store, which was first introduced in 2006 for the PS3. It has since been renamed the Sony Entertainment Network Store, which has expanded to include the PSP, Vita, and PS4 systems. How does a PSN card work? It basically contains a code that you can use to redeem credits in the PlayStation Store using any of the eligible devices. What’s the point in using PSN cards? Wouldn’t it be simpler to just buy games, movies, apps, etc. using a credit card? Therein actually lies one of the benefits of buying with a PSN card. It definitely provides a safer, more secure purchasing method. If you remember, the PlayStation Network was hacked back in April of 2011, causing Sony to close down its online gaming service. Millions of accounts were compromised with the hackers being privy to Sony’s customers’ private details. Thankfully, the credit card information itself was encrypted; nonetheless, the damage was done and many customers made the move to unlink their credit cards from their accounts in PlayStation Network even after Sony resolved the issue. Sony may have gotten a handle on the situation, but the incident gave all parties plenty to think about. Hackers are an impressive lot, and it’s logical to assume that they will always find ways to breach secure networks. While it’s fair to assume that companies like Sony are always working to stay ahead of the hackers, it’s just safer to simply use a PSN card for purchasing items from the store. Besides security, another advantage that PSN cards carry is the ability to be turned into gift cards to give to others. They’re actually very popular as stocking stuffers for Christmas. They’re also ideal presents to give to those who are far away from you. You can send the card or code via email and your recipient can redeem it without having to get up and leave the house. As far as gifts go, they’re very convenient to both give and receive. While games that are available as discs still make the rounds, digital downloads are becoming more and more popular. There are also games that are only available as digital titles. Sometimes, they come out initially in digital form and take some time before they become available as discs. It’s quite reasonable to assume that publishers prefer digital downloads as well. Without having to produce the material elements, such as the disc, the case, and the manual, they are able to save money. Going digital also does away with the possibility of unsold stock. It certainly makes the middleman and his percentage irrelevant. PSN cards definitely provide the better purchasing option for anybody who wants to shop at the Sony Entertainment Network Store.

Instances When a PSN Card Email Delivery Saves the Day

It’s really convenient that you can now download video games from the Internet. Sony, in particular, gets a lot of online business from those who own a PlayStation or some other video game console from the same brand. For this reason, PSN cards are very much in demand. PSN card email delivery is especially popular for those who want to give them as presents. You probably think it’s no fun sending a gift via email. When you give or receive a gift, don’t you want something tangible to hold on to? While that sentiment has its merit, it’s definitely a good idea that you can give downloadable gifts, as in the case of a PSN card email delivery. They are wonderfully handy, especially in circumstances such as the following:
  • Last minute present – If you forgot about somebody’s birthday or if you never got around to going to the store or even shopping online, you can send a PSN card via email. There’s no need to be late with your gift. There’s no need to go out and drive somewhere. There’s no need to browse, looking for just the right present. As long as you’re certain they have a suitable device, then you know they can make use of your present.
  • Unexpected gift – You received a little something from somebody and you want to return the favor. Sending a PSN card to their email works very well. It comes in denominations of $20 and $50, so you can choose which one is more fitting.
  • Adding to a small gift – What if your recipient had requested something inexpensive or if the item you found was cheaper than your gift budget? You can simply send a PSN card so your present can be closer to the value that you intended to give.
  • Gesture of goodwill – If you want to give a “just because” present, a PSN card makes a very good choice. You want to give something that is more of a token, but you want it to be useful and enjoyable, too. A PSN card will definitely allow your recipients to acquire something that they can have fun with.
  • Distant recipient – Giving a PSN card to recipients in a different city, or even country, makes a lot of sense. You don’t need to worry about shipping delays or fees. You can be certain that they receive it themselves and intact. It will be relevant no matter where they are as long as they have the right device.
With an emailed PSN card as an option, gift-giving is a good deal less stressful. Keep it in mind lest you find yourself in one of the circumstances listed above.

What Can You Say With a PSN Gift Card?

Do you have a talent for interpreting gifts? It’s very similar to the ability to interpret dreams, but instead of determining the meaning of a dream, you determine the meaning of a gift. Have you ever received a present that has you exclaiming in your mind, “What was he thinking?” Fortunately, gift-giving isn’t really such a mind boggler most of the time. Among couples, gifts often carry a particular significance. Let’s not even get started on the different kinds or colors of flowers and their alleged meaning, or the appropriate presents for anniversaries. If truth be told, however, all gifts — no matter from whom, for whom, or what they are — say something. Some people say that you don’t give a gift card when you want to make a statement. It’s just too impersonal, like you didn’t bother to put a lot of thought into it. That’s not accurate at all. People would be leery of giving a PSN gift card, for instance, if this were the case, and yet, it’s one of the most popular gift items given during the holidays. People are happy to give and even happier to receive a PSN gift card. Why is that? What exactly does such a present convey? What do people mean to tell you when they give you a PSN card?
  • “I pay attention to your interests, so I know that you spend a lot of time on your PSP or PS Vita.” They took the time to get to know you and observe you, hence their conclusion that you would have use for a PSN card.
  • “I support you in the pursuit of your interests.” They might not be into video games themselves, but they encourage you to continue with your pastime. If they like playing themselves, then it indicates a sense of kindred spirit.
  • “I want you to have fun.” They know you like spending time on your video game console, so they hope that their present will allow you to continue enjoying yourself.
  • “I want you to have the chance to choose exactly what you want.” Instead of them choosing a game, movie, TV show, etc. for you, they want you to be able to get what you actually want.
  • “I think you’re cool.” They think that you’re the kind of person who can appreciate a gift card and make good use of it.
You can say various messages with a PSN card. It really depends on different factors such as context, shared history, etc. Whatever you mean to say, you can be certain that it always makes a very useful present.
