How long have you been gaming?

I’ve honestly been gaming since I can remember.

What was your first video game? Tell us your favorite story about it.

World of Warcraft. There was a time I got heavily addicted to it, the upside of this is that it helped me with my English like nothing else ever did.

What games do you currently play?

I mainly play Rocket League and TitanFall 2, soon I’ll finish RDR2

How much time do you currently spend gaming?

Not as much as I would like to, maybe 1-2 hours a day.

Have you entered any gaming competitions? If so, which ones?

No, I haven’t.

What in your opinion makes for a good video game?

Attention to detail, good controls, and a realistic environment.

What are your thoughts on Console gaming vs. PC gaming vs. Mobile gaming? Do you have a favorite?

My favorite is Console gaming. I like to play my games in the living room with my friends, and this is the best way of doing so. Plus, there are many great exclusive titles that I really like.

What feature would you like to see added to the current gaming environment?

A well made VR environment, one that will also be able to make video games an exercise.

I’m a prolific reader and I have a huge library of kindle ebooks purchased on Amazon. They tend to be reasonably priced on Amazon, which is nice.

No, not at the moment. (Our blog will fill you in about how to use Amazon Prime Video and how to purchase it with a gift card.)

Why do you choose Amazon instead of local options or other websites?

I choose Amazon for the personalized shopping experience that they offer.

No, not at the moment.

I suggest using the daily kindle deals of popular titles which usually have significant discounts.

Media Streaming Ninja – Daniel

For the first week in March, we are featuring Daniel from Alaska! We sent him some questions to learn a bit about what he loves most about Media Streaming and how he’s using our gift cards.

How old are you, and where are you located?

I’m 22 years old, and I live in Alaska.

Tell us something special or unique about where you live, or why you like it.

I currently live on a small island in S.E. Alaska. The island has a beautiful ecosystem and for the most part hasn’t been destroyed. Most people who live here rely on substance hunting and fishing, which requires working with nature.

What media streaming service do you use? (Netflix, Hulu, etc.) How long have you used it?

I use a variety of streaming services: Hulu, Netflix, Crunchyroll, YouTube, etc. I’ve been using Hulu for 10-12 years, Netflix for about 2 years, and Crunchyroll for the past year. (Soon, you’ll be able to use Apple’s streaming service which is said to roll out later this year.)

Why do you choose to use your current media streaming service instead of other media streaming services that are available?

Honestly, I just look for shows and movies that I enjoy.  Some aren’t on one service, so I use others. I’m not picky.

What is your favorite show to watch on your media streaming service? Why is it your favorite?

Currently, I can’t stop watching Fairy Tail, although I watch a variety of different things. I love how the plot is written, and also how each enemy is shown to be an actual threat that could defeat the good guys.

When do you most commonly watch your media streaming service, and how often?

I usually use it after work, which is about 2-3 am. And I use it when I’m not super exhausted.

I’m 33 years old and I live in Manila in the Philippines.

It’s a tropical country, people are hospitable here, and there are lots of awesome places to visit. We have public transportation using buses that are called “Jeepneys”.

What is your favorite item that you have purchased on iTunes, and why?

My favorite thing that I’ve purchased on iTunes is the Lightroom subscription, called Lightroom Mobile.

Do you have any active subscriptions on iTunes?  If so, which services, and how do you like to use them?

Yes, just Lightroom mobile.

Why do you choose the US iTunes Store instead of the local option available to you?

I choose to use the US iTunes Store because it has a lot of options and apps to choose from.

How did you find out about the US iTunes Store? Do your friends and family shop there as well?

I found the US iTunes Store through Google. (Are you curious which subscription is better – Spotify vs. Apple Music?)

PSN Customer of the Week – Summer

How old are you, and where are you located?

I’m 37 years old and live in Nepal.

Tell us something special or unique about where you live, or why you like it?

Nepal is a small landlocked country situated between two giants – China and India, but in spite of the small size, the topography ranges from plained regions to high top mountains. The top eight tallest mountains are in Nepal, including Mt. Everest. Gautam Buddha was also born in Nepal. Even though my county has various casts, groups, and religions it has never had issues with religious and cast riots.  Lastly, my country has never been colonized.

What kind of system/console are you gaming on? (Generation, or tech specs!)

I have a PS4 flat and PS4 slim.

What is your gamer tag?

Fifa, First shooter.

How long have you been gaming?

I’ve been gaming for 10 years.

What was your first video game? Tell us your favorite story about it.

My first console was a PS2. My aunt brought it for me when she was visiting from the UK. I was the first person in my town who had that console so everyone wanted to come to my house to play it.

What games are you currently playing?

FIFA 19. (Getting access to the exclusive US PlayStation store through PlayStation codes is key, especially if you live outside the US. This has the potential to open up your gaming world with US digital merchandise that you otherwise wouldn’t have access to.)

How much time do you currently spend gaming?

I usually spend about two hours a day gaming.

Have you entered any gaming competitions?

No, I haven’t yet.

What in your opinion makes for a good video game?

Video games are our newest form of expression; combining the latest technology, with music, sound design, animation, traditional storytelling and, most importantly, interactivity. 

What are your thoughts on Console gaming vs PC gaming vs Mobile gaming? Do you have a favorite?

I do not have much experience with mobile gaming as I don’t use it for gaming. I used to play a lot on PC’s when I was a kid. But I feel comfortable playing on consoles, as I feel in full control on it and it is cheap compared to PC gaming.

What feature would you like to see added to the current gaming environment?

I want to see more interactive gaming included because I enjoy it.

Yes, I use it all!  Music, Kindle, Video, and shipping.

Why do you choose Amazon instead of local options or other websites?

The ease of finding what I need and the quick shipping.  I don’t have to fight crowds at the store. The Amazon website is really easy to use whereas, other sites are confusing and have a lot of advertisements. (Also, if you happen to live outside of the country, take a look at Shopping on Amazon Outside of the US to get an idea of all the benefits of doing so.)

Are you using any additional services to ship your Amazon product to your country?

No, I don’t use any additional services.

Do you have any tips or tricks to get the most value out of Amazon?

The only tip I have is to get a Prime Membership.  It will save you money on shipping. We also discontinued cable and saved a ton of money by just using Prime Video.

I found it by doing an online search for Amazon gift cards that I could pay with my PayPal account.

What kinds of things do you like to do for fun?

Anything outdoors, as long as it isn’t snowing or cold 🙂

I’m almost 20 years old, and I am from Oujda city in Morocco.

Morocco is located in North Africa. You can save a lot of money here because the standard of living is so cheap. I can easily live on less than $3 dollars a day for food, but of course there are other things that are expensive. However, the basics things are cheap.

What is your favorite item that you have purchased on Amazon, and why?

I’m a fan of Richard Dawkins so I read a lot of his books and my favorite one that I purchased from Amazon is The Magic Of Reality.

Yes, I am an Amazon Prime Member and I use the faster shipping service a lot. It’s awesome.

I choose Amazon for my online shopping because of the fast shipping they provide and their great customer service.

No, I don’t use any additional services.

I don’t think I’m someone who can give a great deal of information on this topic, but I think people should be aware of all the services Amazon provides including Amazon Kindle Unlimited which is a great service for books.

I have know about Amazon for a long time. My country doesn’t have anything like Amazon, so I buy everything from Amazon in the United States.

What is your favorite item that you have purchased from Amazon? Why?

I like to buy many things, but the most important items for me are the electronics.  I can find good electronic products on Amazon, for example, cell phones. They are good quality and at a good price. Everything is much cheaper on Amazon, especially having an Amazon Gift Card subscription with you.

What other products have you purchased from Amazon? What are your favorite types of products to buy?

I buy books, shoes, and some cosmetics. My favorite products to buy are shoes.

Because Amazon is the best. I have never been disappointed.

I am 19 years old, and I live in Saint Cloud, Florida.

How did you discover US Amazon?

I discovered Amazon through my uncle who uses it, and also because it is a popular website.

What is your favorite item that you have purchased from Amazon? Why?

I don’t particularly have a favorite, but I love the “Skinfood Black Sugar Mask Wash Off Exfoliator” that I recently purchased. It is both a face exfoliator and face mask in one and I find that interesting. It also leaves my face feeling clean and smooth.

Are you an Amazon Prime Member? If so, what services do you use the most? Music? Video? Faster shipping?

Currently, I am not an Amazon Prime Member, but I enjoy the faster shipping without having to reach $25 to get free shipping.

Why do you choose Amazon instead of local options or other websites?

Amazon’s prices can be better than the ones in local stores, and other sites don’t have as large of a variety as Amazon.

Are you using any additional services to ship your Amazon product to your country?

No, I am fine with Amazon’s shipping.

What tips or tricks can you suggest to other shoppers to get the most out of Amazon, or your favorite way to get the most value from of Amazon?

Try to see all of your options or use a price checker that shows the changes in price throughout the past few weeks or months. It helps you see when the best time to buy is. A recommendation would be “Honey” or “Keepa” which are both add-ons for your Chrome or Firefox browser

I found MyGiftCardSupply when I was searching for ways to buy an Amazon Gift Card with Paypal since it is no longer available through other sites after Amazon’s policy update. My favorite thing is the speed that the gift card is sent!
