- Enter the 19-digit gift card number with no spaces, then the 4-digit PIN from the back of a physical card or your eGift email.
- Select Add — your available balance appears and is applied to the order total.
- Pay any remaining amount with a card or other method if the order costs more than the gift card balance.
You can apply more than one gift card to the same online order, and you can pair a gift card with a discount code — though two discount codes cannot be combined on one order.
In a Currys Store
Use this route when you would rather see the product first or pick it up the same day. The card is accepted as full or part payment at the checkout.
- Take your items to any till point in a participating Currys store.
- Hand the gift card to the colleague and say how much of the balance you want to put toward the purchase.
- The colleague applies the balance; settle any difference with another payment method.
A store colleague can also check the remaining balance on the card for you — bring the card itself rather than just the number.
What a Currys Gift Card Covers
The balance spends like store credit across the Currys range — laptops and desktops, TVs and audio, kitchen and home appliances, gaming gear, cameras, and tech accessories. The card hasn’t activated yet
A newly issued card — physical or eGift — sometimes needs time before the balance goes live, and a card shown as inactive at the till or online usually clears within 24 to 48 hours of issue. If you have just received the card, wait and try again rather than assuming it is faulty.
“Insufficient balance” or a temporary error
If an error appears mid-payment, the balance can take up to 24 hours to restore before the card works again. First confirm the order total is not higher than the card value — if it is, the card covers part of the order and you pay the difference with another method.
The number or PIN was entered wrong
The gift card number is exactly 19 digits and must be entered with no spaces; the PIN is the 4 digits revealed under the silver foil on a physical card or printed in your eGift email. A stray space, a missed digit, or the wrong PIN all cause a rejection — re-enter both carefully, copying from the eGift email where possible.
You’re trying to buy an excluded item
Gift cards can’t be applied to airtime, certain mobile phones and accessories, or a Currys flexpay purchase. If the card is declined only on a specific item, check it against these exclusions; the same card will still work on other products in your basket.
