Adele’s ‘25’ Sets a New One Week Sales Records in U.S.

We all knew that Adele’s third album ‘25’ would be huge, but no one could have imagined just how high it would go! According to Nielsen Music, this British singer’s latest music album ‘25’ has already sold over 2.8 million copies only in the Unites States since its release on Friday which already makes it the best selling album of this year. Even, this ‘25’ album breaks the record of NSYNS’s No Strings Attached which debuted with over 2.4 million sales in 2000. This 2.8 million U.S. sales also includes 1.45 million sales from online retailers like Apple’s iTunes and so on. Not only that, ‘25’ has also been sold over 2,61,000 unites only in Canada, which is another biggest record in that country based on four days selling statistics. It’s very likely that this music album is on its way to 3.1 million or more sales by the end of this Thursday which will give it the biggest sales week since SoundScan started tracking album sales in 1991. You might have already know that, Adele and her music company, Sony Music, decided to not release this album in any streaming service like Apple Music and Spotify, as these services pay less than outright sales. Now it seems like Adele and her music company took the right decision and such amazing record breaking 2.8 million sales on just first week is the proof of that.
