Gamer Customer of the Week – Stefan

This week, we are featuring Stefan from Serbia! We sent him some questions to learn a bit about what he loves most about gaming, and how he’s using our PSN cards.

How old are you, and where are you located?

I’m 28 years old and I’m from Belgrade, Serbia.

Tell us something special or unique about where you live, or why you like it?

In Belgrade (Serbia) we have amazing food, great parties and beautiful weather – the city is always alive. But what stands out the most are definitely the people and our hospitality – we are always up for having some fun, and you cannot say no to some good Rakija 😀 I personally live next to a huge forest, and I love having fresh air while being just 20mins from the city center. A fun fact regarding Belgrade as a capital – Serbia has officially ‘owned’ it the least cumulative time in it’s history, which tells a lot about how many nations and countries occupied us during our history which goes back to the 11th century. But we always prevail. The most unique thing though is probably Yugoslavia, and I really recommend you Google it – an incredible history lesson. There’s also this thing about our language – it is the only one in the world where you write the words as you say them (and vice-versa), so there’s basically no spelling as such. But the grammar is really hard 😀

What kind of system/console are you gaming on? (Generation, Tech specs, etc)

PS4 99% of the time, but I do play Red Alert 2 (Mental Omega 3 mod) on my laptop. (And in case you’re into Xbox, they’re coming out with two new consoles next year.)

What is your gamer tag?

watchwolf_501st

How long have you been gaming?

Since I can remember 😀 I started with Sega Mega Drive 2 when I was 5 years old, which was in 1996.

What was your first video game? Tell us your favorite story about it.

It was Sonic on Sega. I remember I had three cartridges at the time, Sonic, Aladdin and I think NBA Live 95, but I played Sonic the most by far. It took me a couple of months to get to the final level and the showdown with Doctor Robotnik. If I remember correctly, the level was basically a bridge which Robotnik was gradually destroying, and since the screen was locked from moving left to right, you had to defeat him before he destroys the bridge completely. I played that level for a couple of days on and off, got close to winning a couple of times, but alas was failing over and over. I got so frustrated that I started yelling loudly every time I would die, which my mom heard and would come to the room to see what was happening. I explained my problem, she grabbed the joystick and defeated Robotnik in her second or third try. I was baffled honestly, but I love it – my mom not even knowing what exactly she did, in such an iconic game.

What games do you currently play? PSN Thumbnail

Right now I mostly play Rocket League, Fallout 4, Outer Worlds, Ace Combat 7 and Onrush. Oh, and Absolute Drift – that game is just phenomenal.

How much time do you currently spend gaming?

On average an hour or two a day, but I try to manage a half or full day gaming sessions at least once a month.

Have you entered any gaming competitions? If so, which ones?

Not really. I did play American football professionally for 5 years, so I never did have a drive to compete in video games with anyone besides my friends – I use them to relax and explore the worlds as well as myself.

What in your opinion makes for a good video game?

I would say primarily a good narrative. It really depends on the game, but it all comes down to the story the game is trying to convey. It’s like when you visit different cities, and some of them have a soul and a ‘real’ story, while others seem artificial regardless of how impressive they are or how tall they make the buildings. The cities that you feel most comfortable in are those which have something concrete to say, they have a story, and they expand and grow based on the needs and wants of the humans living in them, not because a city government decided to build a huge skyscraper primarily because it will make money. It’s the same with video games. In the case of games which do not need to rely on the narrative per se (such as Rocket League or CoD multiplayer) it comes down to how the mechanics and the whole player UX is implemented, and what drives me to play the game – the incentives, the intrinsic (or extrinsic) value I get from playing and progressing, and so on.

What are your thoughts on Console gaming vs. PC gaming vs. Mobile gaming? Do you have a favorite?

Console gaming is my favorite for two reasons – affordability, meaning I can buy a console and play it without upgrades for years) and ease of use, meaning I do not have to ‘reinstall’ my console like I do my PC every year or a couple of months because reasons. When it comes to PS ecosystem specifically, I see Sony as a good guy in general, both in the terms of service and pricing, and it just suits me perfectly. That said, PC is a master race when it comes to performance in general, and that will stay the case until we move on to purely streaming games or something similar. When it comes to mobile it’s just not an experience I’m looking for. I would say it lacks the immersiveness I strive for when I play games – a small screen just doesn’t do it for me, and I do not like to play games to pass the time but to enjoy them like a good book (in the case of Outer Worlds for example) or to completely focus on the play (in the case of Rocket League), which I just cannot do on mobile on the move. And if I’m home, I have my PS4, so  I rarely play games on mobile.

What feature would you like to see added to the current gaming environment?

NFTs for sure. My kick-ass gun can become my kick-ass car in a different game – how awesome is that? 😀 But we still have some ways to go until we get there. It would be awesome for me primarily because the reward of playing any game would be that much greater, apart from me playing it because I like it for whatever reason, regardless of the rewards and incentives.

Why do you use MyGiftCardSupply to purchase gift cards?

I used to go to G2A for my gift cards, but we all know how that platform ended up. A friend of mine told me about you guys, and once I tried it that was it – the fees are acceptable, the service is perfect, and most importantly – I trust you guys 🙂

What other things interest you, besides gaming?

I’m a business developer, so I like systems analysis of any kind – even if it is not tied to my work directly. I’m currently with the blockchain development studio (mvpworkshop.co), so I would definitely add blockchain as well. Besides that, I play a lot of sports (from beach volleyball to skiing), I’m making my own board game with some friends, and I love sci-fi in general – the 20 year remaster of Star Wars When we had a census in Serbia in 2011, I registered my official religion as ‘Jedi’, and I have a Jedi insignia tattooed on the back of my shoulder, so that says a lot about me 😀

Microsoft planning second next-gen Xbox that’s more affordable

We are all expecting a new console from Microsoft next year, but the most important aspect is that they are seemingly releasing a second one also. We should all prepare our Xbox cards because apparently they’re going to release all kinds of cool stuff and that you’re sure to be impressed with

The main Scarlett console is named Anaconda

The Anaconda is set to be very powerful and lots of new games are expected to be created around it. The most important aspect around this console is that it’llXbox Thumbnail take the next generation to new heights and will also push the boundaries in some really fun and interesting ways. However, the second console simply won’t be as powerful. It will be named Lockhart and this console will target 1440p instead of 4k which is what the Scarlett is focused on. It’s still a great aspect and it will surely come with its fair share of benefits. The idea here is to constantly try and push the boundaries to make things more immersive and certainly a lot more appealing. And considering this, we might be able to expect something like that sooner rather than later.

Will it be cheaper?

Anaconda, the main console, we assume will be pretty expensive, and Lockhart will be much more affordable. We can expect Lockhart to still have a next generation CPU, which is amazing. And it might even have an SSD too. There are also rumors of a potential subscription system, but who knows if that will happen. Microsoft is expected to come out with Xbox bundles for Scarlett. One thing is certain, preparing your Xbox cards to enjoy these new consoles will really pay off. The fact that there will be two Xbox consoles means that you’re sure to love at least one of them!

Where to Buy a Disney+ Gift Card

Giving a Disney+ subscription this holiday season is a great idea, considering how many amazing shows and movies Disney provides with their subscription. It’s absolutely wonderful for children, and you may end up liking it a lot more than you would have imagined!

Disney stores are selling 12-month subscription cards

If you want to gift a Disney+ subscription to your friends and family, you can currently get one from any Disney store. That will get you a physical card to gift to your loved ones this season. Since nowadays most subscriptions are gifted online, finding an offline option for a physical gift card doesn’t always come so easy.Disney+

Gifting the Disney+ subscription online

Of course most people will focus on the online subscriptions, and that’s also a great way to give a Disney+ subscription. If you want to gift a subscription this way, you’ll need to go to the Disney+ website and start a subscription. Enter the email address of the person that you want to gift the subscription to and then create a desired password. Pick the plan you want for your friend and choose a payment method (this will be your credit card so you will be charged for the subscription). Once you have all of this complete, you can gift the account to your friend or family member. This is actually one of the best methods you can use to gift a subscription. All you need to do is to create a Disney+ account for them, and then share the credentials. Of course, this also means that you’ll be the one paying for the subscription indefinitely, unless your friend or family member decides to take over paying for the subscription after a given amount of time. That’s an important point to note and to take into consideration before gifting a Disney+ subscription this way. We recommend that you use these tips to get the Disney+ subscription in the way that’s best for you and your friends and family. It’s not a bad idea to take your time to figure out the right approach that works best for everyone. But hey, who wouldn’t love to have a Disney+ subscription gifted to them?

Do you have any subscriptions on iTunes? If so, which services, and how do you like to use them?

I have apple music and iCloud storage which I use the all time.

Why do you choose the US iTunes Store instead of the local option available to you?

Because I find the US store way more apps than any another app store.

It was really along time ago so I don’t really remember. And yes, my friends shop there as well, but my parents don’t.

I’ve only used the iTunes cards but I really like MyGiftCardSupply because they’re very sufficient and perfect timing for delivery of iTunes cards

Amazon Customer of the Week – Ruan

This week, we are featuring Ruan from South Africa! We sent him some questions to learn a bit about what he loves most about Amazon, and how he’s using our Amazon cards.

How old are you, and where are you located?

I am 37 years old and I’m based in Cape Town, South Africa.

Tell us something special or unique about where you live, or why you like it?

Cape Town is a beautiful coastal city at the southern tip of Africa. We have one of the most unique mountains (Table Mountain) looking over the city, and is very popular with tourists visiting from all over the world.

What is your favorite item that you have purchased on Amazon, and why? Amazon Thumbnail Image

Tricky question, but I would say all of my Dungeons and Dragons books! If I had to choose it would be The Dungeon Master Guide. 🙂

Are you an Amazon Prime Member? If so, what services do you use the most? Music? Video? Faster Shipping?

Yes! I only currently use it for Video and it’s great!!

Why do you choose Amazon instead of local options or other websites?

Amazon just has everything and it’s priced better than our local stores! New releases usually takes a lot of time before they become available in South Africa – so it’s really great to order new products and have them before the local suppliers. 🙂

Are you using any additional services to ship your Amazon products to your country?

No

Do you have any tips or tricks to get the most value out of Amazon?

Try to focus on the thing you are looking for, and have a look at the recommended products as Amazon is really good with recommending other products based on your search etc. Try not to spend too much haha 🙂

How did you find MyGiftCardSupply, and what is your favorite things about this service?

I Googled a bit, and I just love it! I prefer to use Paypal as payment wherever I can – and this makes it so convenient for me.

What kinds of things do you like to do for fun?

I love to create! So anything filmmaking related, music related or just anything creative – Like using my 3D printer to create amazing things, and then of-course, designing games for my Dungeons & Dragons game night 🙂

If you’d like to find out more about Ruan check him out on Instagram

Amazon Fire HD (2019) Review

We always make sure to have our Amazon cards on hand when a new tablet comes in, and honestly, this one was rumored for quite some time. The Amazon Fire HD 2019 is an interesting tablet, especially when you consider the fact that it only costs around $149. It’s way cheaper than an iPad, but does it have what it takes in order to compete with Apple tablets?

Great specs for the price

The first thing you’ll notice about the new Amazon Fire HD is that it has some pretty good specs. The processor is 2.0 Ghz, so it’s pretty powerful. The battery life was also improved to offer around 20% more screen time. On top of that, the new model comes with up to 512 GB ofAmazon thumbnail expandable storage. So now you’ll have 200 GB total for the unit, which is more than ok. Another great addition to Amazon’s new tablet is Enhanced Wi-Fi. It’s basically a second antenna that you can use in order to obtain better signal even if you’re in Landscape or Portrait mode.

Should you upgrade from the 2017 Amazon Fire HD?

It’s important to note that the new specs aren’t exactly that impressive if you already have the previous model. The Amazon Fire HD 2017 still holds up, and there just isn’t too much that’s different with the new model. You’ll also still have the main issue with most Amazon Fire HD tablets this time around too. And that’s the fact that these units just feel slow. They aren’t that great at fast browsing or multitasking. In fact, some tasks done alone take quite some time to load, let alone the length of time it takes for loading when multitasking.

Conclusion

Amazon is busy with lots of new creations currently. It’s currently spending billions to create its prime one day delivery services. But the Fire OS, which is basically a fork of Android is simply not up to par with the iOS. It’s ok for what it is, but that, combined with the specs that were just slightly improved, might mean purchasing something better would be the smarter way to go. However, if your budget for a tablet is $150 and you’re using most of Amazon’s services anyway, this one might be worth a try!

Amazon Customer of the Week – Tim

This week, we are featuring Tim from Germany! We sent him some questions to learn a bit about what he loves most about Amazon, and how he’s using our Amazon cards.

How old are you, and where are you located?

I’m 15 and from Germany 😉

Tell us something special or unique about where you live, or why you like it?

I love that nearly everything is connected via rails and/or roads! 😀 If you want to go somewhere nearby, but it’s too far away to walk, you can just hop on the next bus or train and go there! 😉

What is your favorite item that you have purchased on Amazon, and why? Amazon Thumbnail

Season 6 and 7 of Steven Universe via the US Amazon, because I don’t like the German translation that much and over here, they’re all in a messed up order 🙂 I know it sounds like I’m a bit too old for that, but trust me… Even if you are 36, you will probably still love this show! 😉

Are you an Amazon Prime Member? If so, what services do you use the most? Music? Video? Faster Shipping?

I am an Amazon Prime Member, but only in Germany (at least my sister is) and I really just use it for watching series and faster shipping. Amazon is now spending billions to create its one day delivery service.

Why do you choose Amazon instead of local options or other websites?

Simply because some Series and/or translation don’t exist here in Germany. I really like buying electronics on Amazon too, because It’s sometimes cheaper than local stores.

Are you using any additional services to ship your Amazon products to your country?

Yes a VPN. I don’t know if it’s necessary to watch series with it over Amazon, but I simply feel more safe with it. 😉

Do you have any tips or tricks to get the most value out of Amazon?

Not really ‘;)

How did you find MyGiftCardSupply, and what is your favorite things about this service?

I found it over a website called netzwelt.de. The first gift-card I bought was for Hulu 😉 The best thing about this service is that you can pay with PayPal from nearly all over the world! I tried some other gift-card sellers online before (to get the Hulu gift-card), but they would only let me pay with an American Bank Account or PayPal. The delivery is always pretty quick and I only had to wait once because they were out of stock (which nearly never happens 😉 )

What kinds of things do you like to do for fun?

Retro-Gaming and recently binge watching 😉 I also like to hang out with friends and go out or watch movies etc.

Thank you Tim for participating in MyGiftCardSupply’s AmazonCustomer of the Week!

All of Tim’s friends and family can use the coupon “TIM5OFF” to get 5% OFF on their next purchase on our site!

Best Black Friday Gaming Deals

Prepare to buy your PSN cards and Xbox cards, Black Friday is just around the corner and it’s coming in with some amazing sales. That’s great, because you can easily get all the stuff you’ve always wanted but didn’t want to fork out all the money for. Here is a list with some great deals you’ll want to know about.

PlayStation deals

PlayStation deals are abundant this year. Walmart, Target and Best Buy are offering a 1 TB PS4 slim for $199, which is a great deal to begin with. But add to it that they have remastered Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War, and The Last of Us. These companies are also offering $39 dual Black Friday Gaming Thumbnailshock controllers as well. Walmart is also having noteworthy deals on other game for Black Friday. Call of Duty Modern Warfare will be priced at $38, Borderlands will cost $30, and Red Dead Redemption 2 $30.

Xbox deals

As far as Xbox goes, you can get an Xbox One X at the Microsoft Store for $350, which is a savings of $150. You’ll also be able to purchase the X at Target, which will come with a $40 gift card and Gears 5 at the same price. Walmart and Best Buy will be selling it at the same price also, but you’ll get Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order included if you buy with these companies. The Xbox One S will be sold at $149 this Black Friday and that’s another great deal to keep in mind. For $199 you can get the S with the aforementioned Jedi game as well. The All-digital S console will cost $149, and will come with Fortnite, Minecraft, and Seat of Thieves, which is actually a good deal to keep a look out for at the Microsoft Store, Best Buy, and Walmart. Controllers will be sold at $39.99 on online stores. Also, make sure to check out the Xbox bundles that are back for the new project Scarlett.

Nintendo Switch deals

If you want a Nintendo Switch, you can get it with the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe from Walmart, Target, and Best Buy. Not only that, but you can also get the Joy Con pairs for $59, which is a $20 savings. Also, the Genki USB C adapter will be priced with $10 discount. And if you want games, Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, and Splatoon 2 will all cost $29.99. These are only a few of the many cool deals that are coming this Black Friday. One thing is certain, if you’re passionate about the idea of getting a console or new console games, this is the right time to do it. Prepare for Black Friday and you’ll surely enjoy the experience!

Xbox bundles are back for the new Project Scarlett

We are ready to have a new Xbox in roughly 12 months, so preparing your Xbox cards is a great idea. It’s an important thing to consider, but then again there might be too many options which is why the Xbox bundles are back and are ready for the new Project Scarlett Xbox that will launch next year.

What does this mean?

Microsoft is not bringing back the Xbox All Access bundle for the holidays. This is a bundle splitting the cost of an Xbox One console, the game pass, and Live over 24 months. This means you can get the X or S consoles with the game pass for as little as $19.99 per month.Xbox Thumbnail Image This monthly based bundle has the S console with 2 years of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. The Xbox One S bundle will be $22.99 over 24 months, the X version will be $30.99 per month. Either way these are great deals that are totally worth checking out.

Special offer for the Scarlett upgrade

Microsoft is also adding a special upgrade for the X bundle, in which you can upgrade to the Project Scarlett in 12 months. Being able to buy an X version through this program and then upgrade to the Project Scarlett when it comes out is something that could be appealing. If you add up the costs, you’ll notice that you will be saving a little bit of money, spreading your payments, and also acquiring the upgrade to the Scarlett for free. Normally that’s not possible, you just get the console and the passes, and then you live with them. That’s what really makes the Xbox bundles so good, because even if you don’t really play a whole lot of games on the X that you want to buy, the fact that you’re upgraded to the new console is pretty great. Microsoft knows the Black Friday sales are coming, so they prepared this announcement beforehand. Console sales have plummeted since people know new consoles are coming next year. So this is a great way to sell consoles and give their customers a deal.
