Amazon Prime Day July 15th – How to Spot the Best Deals

Amazon Prime Day is that time of the year where there’s a good chance you’re going to spend a lot of money on some amazing purchases. This year Amazon Prime Day is on July 15th and the great thing about it this year, is that it’s taking place for a full 48 hours. It starts on Monday July 15th and continues until the end of Tuesday, July 16th. As always, people from other countries (where you can make purchases on Amazon) have their own Amazon Prime Day to look forward too, so this will only be in the US.

Why buy during Amazon Prime Day?

The reason is simple, you can use Amazon cards and stock up now and then buy stuff at a much lower price. Shop Amazon Gift CardsOf course there are sales from time to time. But Amazon Prime Day, Christmas deals, and Black Friday are known for their great discounts.

Getting the best deals

A good site you might want to use is https://camelcamelcamel.com and other sites like it to give you price alerts. You can load up your Amazon account and wishlist, then they will notify you when the price of the products are reduced. The great thing is that they also have a browser extension, have historical pricing data, and so on. This is possibly one of the better tools you can use for Prime Day.

Check other sites too

Some other websites try to combat prime day as well. You’ll notice Target, Walmart, and Best Buy will bring in some deals around this time. If you’re only looking for Amazon deals, we really recommend that you check out tools like Camelcamelcamel as they are quite accurate and reliable. Create the wishlist you want and prepare beforehand. Then use this extension to see where and how you can spot some of the best prices. It really helps a lot to use this kind of stuff, but it will be a bit time-consuming to identify the right option, so use it as an advantage and it will be worth the effort.

YouTube is Returning to Amazon’s Fire TV

It’s time to get your Amazon gift cards ready to go because YouTube is finally coming back to Amazon’s Fire TV. Lots of people have been asking for this feature for quite a while. It’s easy to see why, YouTube is extremely popular and not having it natively on Fire TV was a downside for many of its viewers.

The reason why Amazon’s Fire TV didn’t have YouTube, is due to a feud between Amazon and Google. It’s a feud that’s been quite problematic for a long time. What was going on was that Google didn’t want to share access to YouTube on Fire TV without getting something in return, which completely makes sense. Now they’re getting something in return. In exchange for this feature, Amazon will be adding Chromecast integration to the Prime Video mobile app. It’s the best of both worlds, all in a single package. It’s also important to note that Prime Video will be universally available on Android TV. Until now, it was available only on select devices.

YouTube on Amazon’s Echo Show

While Amazon’s Fire TV will be adding YouTube as one of their features, they won’t be adding it to their Echo Show. Who knows if this will change in the future. But it’s still nice to see that tech companies are working together and are coming up with creative ways to eliminate issues for the benefit of their customers. And for all you techies out there, there is a browser workaround that can be used as a way to access YouTube on the Echo Show. Also, for you music lovers out there, Amazon just released a free ad-supported music tier. For now, there isn’t too much other commentary from other companies around the announcement of the return of YouTube to Amazon’s Fire TV. There were obviously comments way before this was announced, which discussed how the platforms were not very compatible. But either way, customers come out with the win because having YouTube on Amazon’s Fire TV is such a great feature!

Amazon Launches Music Streaming Free Tier

We have some great news that will make you want to get some Amazon gift cards right away. Up until this point Spotify was the only music streaming service with a free tier. But Amazon is finally sharing a free tier for its music service. Prime Music is a part of Amazon Prime as of now, and the fact that you can access the top playlists and stations with an ad-supported version is very exciting. It helps a lot because you get to avoid paying for Spotify or Amazon if you want to go with random music every day.

Apparently, music streaming is booming for Amazon. In fact it’s one of their most powerful features at this time and it’s continuing to grow constantly. Even if Amazon makes most of its money via the cloud computing division, investing in other services like music streaming is bound to help quite a lot. Since Amazon has some other features embedded in the process, it might end up bringing in more customers to their ecosystem as a whole, and that’s the type of thing that really matters for a lot of customers at this point. And if you live outside the US, you can check out shopping on Amazon from outside the US.

More interaction for users

The potential for Amazon is huge, especially since they have the Echo speaker and similar tools that can offer a new layer of interaction and features to the user. It’s safe to say that this is a great and powerful opportunity, one that people can use to test out new things and enjoy great features as they see fit. Will this be a challenge for Spotify? Having a new service with similar features might make a dent in their customer base. But how, and whether Spotify will actually respond to this is hard to say. Yet the competition is there, which is always great for customers!

I suggest using the daily kindle deals of popular titles which usually have significant discounts.

Yes, I use it all!  Music, Kindle, Video, and shipping.

Why do you choose Amazon instead of local options or other websites?

The ease of finding what I need and the quick shipping.  I don’t have to fight crowds at the store. The Amazon website is really easy to use whereas, other sites are confusing and have a lot of advertisements. (Also, if you happen to live outside of the country, take a look at Shopping on Amazon Outside of the US to get an idea of all the benefits of doing so.)

Are you using any additional services to ship your Amazon product to your country?

No, I don’t use any additional services.

Do you have any tips or tricks to get the most value out of Amazon?

The only tip I have is to get a Prime Membership.  It will save you money on shipping. We also discontinued cable and saved a ton of money by just using Prime Video.

I found it by doing an online search for Amazon gift cards that I could pay with my PayPal account.

What kinds of things do you like to do for fun?

Anything outdoors, as long as it isn’t snowing or cold 🙂

I’m almost 20 years old, and I am from Oujda city in Morocco.

Morocco is located in North Africa. You can save a lot of money here because the standard of living is so cheap. I can easily live on less than $3 dollars a day for food, but of course there are other things that are expensive. However, the basics things are cheap.

What is your favorite item that you have purchased on Amazon, and why?

I’m a fan of Richard Dawkins so I read a lot of his books and my favorite one that I purchased from Amazon is The Magic Of Reality.

Yes, I am an Amazon Prime Member and I use the faster shipping service a lot. It’s awesome.

I don’t think I’m someone who can give a great deal of information on this topic, but I think people should be aware of all the services Amazon provides including Amazon Kindle Unlimited which is a great service for books.
